HER-Story: UNSTUCK (book)

Pain is part of life; therefore, I am not here to invite to you to side step pain or to avoid it at all costs. Quite the contrary. I am here to remind you that the longer you live; the more likely you are to experience epic amounts of pain, disappointment and discomfort. What matters is having both the tools and the courage to move through life’s let downs, disappointments and what looks like a failure and get back to the living of life.

Encouragement to all women is – let us try to offer help before we have to offer therapy. That is to say, let’s see if we can’t prevent being ill by trying to offer a love of prevention before illness.” – Maya Angelou “I’m interested in women’s health because I’m a woman. I’d be a darn fool not to be on my own side.” – Maya Angelou

My name is (Fee King ) Fylicia Renee King. Her-Story: UNSTUCK is not just my story; but I believe you’ll find some of your own story in my story. This is a story of a woman who lied down for a peaceful night’s rest and woke up in a full fledge midlife crisis where she doubted everything she knew and believed. She even doubted God’s love and God’s existence in the part of her life where she tried not to take responsibility for. In the midst of thoughts of ending her life, she mustered up the strength to get back to her happy while finding and fulfilling her purpose.

I was 47 years old, happily single, feeling fancy free and living in Venice Beach, Ca in my 2-story industrial dream loft, working as the Managing Director of a start up alkaline water. (Insert photos of that loft here) A title which I had given to myselfMy hands were full, one with my roller luggage and the other with my duffle bag and my keys. I had to fish for my cell phone when it rang. Yes. I was distracted; which is why I didn’t notice the number. I could never forget the voice on the other end.
